High-Flyin' Birthday Cake!

This cake was made for a little guy who's turning 2!  I thought the colors and the theme that they chose were very cute.  The cake is vanilla butter cake with raspberry filling, frosted in vanilla butter cream with fondant airplanes.  They have a little plastic airplane to put on top.  : )

Pinewood Derby Cake

I made this for the Pinewood Derby competition in our old ward.  : )  It was buttermilk devil's food cake, and chocolate butter cream.  The car is made out of rice cereal treats, covered in marshmallow fondant and hand painted.

Harry Potter Birthday!

My oldest son wanted a Harry Potter party for his 9th b-day, so I made this cake with a portion of Hogwart's castle on it, done in the colors of the Harry Potter Legos set....because I'm not a fan of eating black fondant.  : )
The cake was chocolate pound cake with fluffy chocolate butter cream filling.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate Party for Z!

I got to make this fun cake for my friend's son, Zharius's 4th birthday.  He wanted a Jake and the Neverland Pirates themed cake.  The bottom tier was blue vanilla cake and the top tier was buttermilk devil's food cake - both tiers were filled with Bavarian cream. The little figures of Jake, Captain Hook and the crocodile are all toys, but the rest of the decor is made from fondant and/or gum paste.

Puppy Cupcakes

My daughter LOVES dogs, so it was easy to pick a theme for her 2nd birthday party. Puppies!!! I got the inspiration for these cute little cupcakes from the Hello, Cupcake book.
These were chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.

Great White Shark Cake

This is the cake that my boys requested for their birthday party. They love to watch the shark shows on Discovery channel and they always think it's sooo cool when the Great Whites jump out of the water and catch the seals. And they specifically requested that the sharks have "bulud" (blood) on their teeth. That's a boy for ya!

Shark Cake

This is the cake that I made for Mom's summer party with her primary class. It was a big hit with the kids, especially the boys. My boys were disappointed that there was no fake blood dripping from the shark's mouth.

Dragon Birthday Cake

This was a fun cake to make. This was for a birthday party that Mom and Carrie hosted at their house, for a little boy from church. I had fun doing this one, and it was a big hit!

More Than Meets The Eye....

This is the cake I made for Joshua's 5th b-day party! He wanted a Transformer's cake, obviously. I made the decorations for this cake out of royal frosting.
Joshie chose a lemon cake with white (buttercream) frosting.

Joker and Batman!

In October, I made this Joker cake for Justin't s16th b-day. This was a really fun cake to make, and I think he liked it. The face was made out of fondant and then placed on the cake, which was a buttermilk devil's food cake with chocolate frosting! Yum!

Then in November, Tiernan wanted a Batman cake, so this is the cake I made. He liked it, but I have to say it was not my best work - as you can tell by the frosting.
