Carrie and Dave's Wedding Cake!
This was the cake I made for my sister's shabby chic wedding! The bottom tier was devil's food with Bavarian cream filling, the next tier was lemon cake with lemon curd filling, and the top two tiers were German chocolate with the traditional coconut/pecan filling.
They were all covered in marshmallow fondant with a butter cream stenciled design on the sides, with a hand made gum paste rose.

Topsy Turvy Wedding Cake
This was my first topsy turvy cake, which I made for Larke and Luis' wedding! The flavors were white cake with strawberry filling, chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, and one tier was made out of rice krispy treats. All covered in marshmallow fondant, with gumpaste fantasy flowers.

Another - smaller - wedding cake
I made this as a favor for a friend - the bride and groom just needed a small tier to cut for their reception here, and I was given free reign to decorate it however I wanted, but with the aqua and purple color scheme. I went with a more modern take on the flowers for a change. This could also work well as a birthday cake, anniversary cake, etc. The cake was vanilla with vanilla buttercream, covered in fondant.

Cake for a 50th Birthday Party
A friend of mine from church asked me to make this cake for her mom's 50th birthday party! The cake was alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate, filled and frosted in chocolate butter cream and covered in fondant. The scroll work was done in royal icing. The "L" monogram on the top of the cake is meant to stand up, but because she is flying with the cake, it has to lie down until she reaches her destination. : )
