I made this cake for my friend's son, Gabe, who is turning 7!! I did a buttermilk Devil's food cake filled with sour cream chocolate icing and mini chocolate chips. It was covered with marshmallow fondant and I made all of the little Legos out of marshmallow fondant, as well. Happy Birthday Gabe!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate Party for Z!
I got to make this fun cake for my friend's son, Zharius's 4th birthday. He wanted a Jake and the Neverland Pirates themed cake. The bottom tier was blue vanilla cake and the top tier was buttermilk devil's food cake - both tiers were filled with Bavarian cream. The little figures of Jake, Captain Hook and the crocodile are all toys, but the rest of the decor is made from fondant and/or gum paste.

Navy Blue & Champagne
This is the cake that I made for Jade and John's wedding! Two of the tiers were white cake with fresh raspberry buttercream, and the other two were carrot cake with caramel buttercream. I used a combination of real and silk flowers that were available at the reception.

Topsy Turvy Wedding Cake
This was my first topsy turvy cake, which I made for Larke and Luis' wedding! The flavors were white cake with strawberry filling, chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, and one tier was made out of rice krispy treats. All covered in marshmallow fondant, with gumpaste fantasy flowers.

Tea Party Birthday!
We had a service auction at church and I offered to make a cake. I was super excited when the winner of that auction said she was having a tea party theme for her daughter's birthday because I've always wanted to make a teapot cake. I had trouble with the spout - I had one all sculpted out of fondant and it kept falling and the skewers kept poking through so I scrapped that and invented this funky spout made with balls of fondant. I wasn't thrilled with it, but I was running out of time and didn't know what else to do. I was happy with the rest of the cake though.
Another - smaller - wedding cake
I made this as a favor for a friend - the bride and groom just needed a small tier to cut for their reception here, and I was given free reign to decorate it however I wanted, but with the aqua and purple color scheme. I went with a more modern take on the flowers for a change. This could also work well as a birthday cake, anniversary cake, etc. The cake was vanilla with vanilla buttercream, covered in fondant.
