This is the cake that my boys requested for their birthday party. They love to watch the shark shows on Discovery channel and they always think it's sooo cool when the Great Whites jump out of the water and catch the seals. And they specifically requested that the sharks have "bulud" (blood) on their teeth. That's a boy for ya!

Jungle Birthday Cake!
I was so excited to do this cake. I made all of these little animals, flowers and the tree out of fondant and let them dry before transporting them to my sister's house, 8 hours away, to make a birthday cake for my niece and nephew, who chose a jungle cake for their birthday. The cake was buttermilk devil's food cake, frosted in buttercream. This was a fun cake to make, especially the animals! My niece helped me place the flowers for the finishing touch! Happy Birthday Avery and Brayden!!

Cake for a 50th Birthday Party
A friend of mine from church asked me to make this cake for her mom's 50th birthday party! The cake was alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate, filled and frosted in chocolate butter cream and covered in fondant. The scroll work was done in royal icing. The "L" monogram on the top of the cake is meant to stand up, but because she is flying with the cake, it has to lie down until she reaches her destination. : )

Megan and Jeremy's wedding cake
So I finally scanned a picture of Megan and Jeremy's wedding cake! This was my first wedding cake. The top 2 tiers are cake dummies and the bottom tier is spice cake with cinnamon butter cream filling, and all are covered in marshmallow fondant. I also made large sheet cakes that were white cake with raspberry filling and frosted w/ butter cream.

Vintage Hat Cake
I made this cake for Enrichment night at church. The theme was H.A.T.S. (Have A Taste of Service) and we decorated with vintage hats and other cool vintage things. Most of the people thought this cake was a real hat. What a compliment! : ) This was really fun to make, and it was pretty easy, too. It was a three-tier cake - the top and bottom layers were chocolate and the middle layer was vanilla. It was frosted and filled with chocolate frosting and I covered it with marshmallow fondant. The flowers were "fantasy flowers" made from gum paste.
I originally decorated the back of the hat with "buttons". But I had an extra blue flower so I changed it to this.....
Which one do you like better?
I trimmed the edge a little, on the rim of the hat after this picture wa taken.

Ketie Ruci's Wedding Cake
This is a wedding cake I made for a lady from church. One layer was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, one was lemon cake with raspberry filling, and one was spice cake with cinnamon buttercream. The bottom layer was fake.

Joker and Batman!
In October, I made this Joker cake for Justin't s16th b-day. This was a really fun cake to make, and I think he liked it. The face was made out of fondant and then placed on the cake, which was a buttermilk devil's food cake with chocolate frosting! Yum!
Then in November, Tiernan wanted a Batman cake, so this is the cake I made. He liked it, but I have to say it was not my best work - as you can tell by the frosting.
